释义	曇鸞 tán luán人名。西元476～542雁门治所在今的山西省代县人，为南北朝弘杨净土的高僧。早年出家，研修四论和关于佛性的学说，后因病，故希求长生，而到江南拜访陶弘景，得仙经，归途中遇到菩提流支，受观《无量寿经》，决心专修净土。并得到广大信徒的归依。魏主尊他为「神峦」，敕居并州大寺。晚年移住汾州北山石壁玄中寺。时常到介山之阴集众念佛。昙鸾的净土思想，强调依佛本愿力。著有《往生论注》、《略论安乐净土义》、《赞阿弥陀佛偈》等行世。也作「昙峦」。
