释义	美國國際開發總署 měi guó guó jì kāi fā zǒng shǔ于西元一九六一年依美国援外法案成立的机构。隶属美国国务院，直接对美国总统及国务卿负责。主要工作是执行对外国的军事性援助；援外对象以美国友邦为主，但不限与美国有军事结盟关系的友邦。亦有非军事性的援外计划，通常包括提供贷款或赠款给低度开发国家，承担美国私人海外投资所冒的风险，支援对外国投资所作的调查和发展性研究工作，和对一些国际性的组织作贡献。其目标是在普遍提高各国的生产力，协助各国对经济资源作有效的利用。
